What size thread on light stands?
I'm making a sort of flash-bracket, umbrella holder device, and I need to know the standard thread size for light stands. I know it's not 1/4-20, that would be much, much, too small, but I cannot find any information on it online. Is it 1/2"? What is it?

I've just checked mine & my heavy duty stands have a 3/8" spigot and the lightweight stands are 1/4".
