How heavy an object can velcro tape take on?
Hi, I want to stick something that is 250-300 grams to the wall. It has no holes for me to use hooks, nor is it possible for me to drill it to the wall by nature of its thickness. I want to show off the front and sides.
I was thinking of using velcro fasteners. Beware that this object will hang on the side wall above the head level although it is not on above a door. So I need to know which brand of velcro fasteners can carry an object that is 250-300grams. I know hooks can carry up to 2-5kg!
P.S. It is a metronome, so has a weird shape. I know, i have set for myself a challenge! 
If velcro fasteners really are possible, please tell me the brand, and cost? 
And how many velcro fasteners must i fasten to the back of the metronome?

It depends on how much Velcro you use. If you've ever seen the David Letterman show, you may have seen him stick himself to a wall with the stuff. There is no cut and dried formula for determining its effectiveness. I have been told that a two square inch piece will "support" one hundred pounds. However, it does depend on how you adhere the pieces to the wall and the metronome. That will be the weakest link in your hanging project. Is it self adhesive? I have used some that needs to be stapled or sewn onto substrates. Is the wall really clean, with no pealing paint? If it was mine, I would use self adhesive stuff and put as large on as would fit on the metronome, mirror that on the wall, and be done. It’s only ten pounds or so, and the weight distribution will certainly be sufficient to suspend the piece.
